With that in mind, don’t be afraid seek an employer whose perks are more relevant to your own desires. In recent years there has been a shift away from money focused perks and a greater emphasis on flexible working, team social events and unlimited holiday. 

As a skilled candidate you have never had more power in an over-saturated market. So, don’t be afraid to tailor your choices when searching. That way you’ll ensure that you find the best employer for you.

Work perks add to a great company culture, but consistency is key! 

There are many questions you must ask yourself to ensure that a match is made. So, does the company match your own ethics? Will they allow you to grow professionally? Etc…

A wonderful way to tell this, is on a company’s people page. If a company is great, their team will be great and all they will want to do is shout about it. Research shows that 30% of people leave new roles within 90 days due to dissatisfaction. Long standing employees are one of the best and most reliable signs of a great employer. It really is that simple!
