This is a unique opportunity to join a company in a serious phase of growth and one that will allow you to make the role your own. This role will involve inheriting a book of commercial insurance business and growing the book. You will will be expected to meet with clients face to face and you will be involved in new business development e.g. attending trade shows etc.

An aptitude for business development and sales is essential.

Due to continued growth, our client is currently looking to employ an experienced Insurance Broker with experience in a wide-rage of commercial risks.

Salary: £40k to £60k plus (dependant on experience) plus commission and extensive benefits and car allowance

You will ideally have over 3 years plus of experience within a commercial insurance brokerage working with a wide-variety of commercial insurance risks. This would suit either a current client facing broker or perhaps a current Commercial Account Handler looking for the next step up.

About the Insurance Broker role: You'll be overseeing a book of commercial insurance client across a range of industry sectors.

You will be a point of referral to more junior members of the team and you will use your expertise and experience to help with queries and occasional training/mentoring.

You will look to identify opportunities to grow the book through offering relevant cross sales and referral leads.

Main duties in this role:

  • Responsible for growing a book of commercial clients through new business / arranging policies for new clients
  • Be a point of referral within the team
  • Organise daily work to ensure compliance is met at all times
  • Liaise with Underwriters to help secure the retention (renewals) of clients.
  • Identify new markets, schemes and other opportunities to help grow the business

The skills you`ll bring to the role:

  • Thorough commercial insurance knowledge of at least 2 years in commercial insurance is required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
