Due to significant growth, our client is looking to hire an experienced Professional Indemnity Insurance Underwriter, and they are willing to consider applicants from all manner of PI backgrounds. They are particularly interested in speaking to those with experience in underwriting property based professionals, but they will consider any speciality.

This is a full-time Professional Indemnity Insurance Underwriter role located in London, with flexibility for some remote work.

They are very keen to speak with candidates who have a vested interest in enhancing their careers and building something long term.

Salary:

Up to £130k plus (depending on experience) plus extensive benefits and a great career path

Overview:
We are seeking a meticulous Underwriter to join our client's team in assessing and managing a portfolio of risks .

You will be required to:

  • Underwrite new and renewal PI business and MTA's.
  • Assist the PI team with their day-to-day duties.
  • Develop and manage relationships with both new and existing insurance brokers.
  • Work closely with internal staff and team members

The following experience/skills are an essential requirement for this role:

  • A minimum of 3 years experience working in a PI Underwriting role
  • Excellent knowledge of Professional Indemnity underwriting principles and practices
  • Great analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills with attention to detail
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A strong track record of delivering results under pressure and tight deadlines
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience in the insurance industry
  • Chartered Insurance Institute qualifications or other relevant qualifications are a plus
