Resolve Recruitment Services are working with a client that offers a world-class global practice of engineers, consultants and advisers. An opportunity has arisen for a proactive Legal Administrator to support their busy Commercial and Legal team in Bath and to ensure that all operational support runs smoothly.

The role:

  • Organise fortnightly meetings of team members, including guests and regional representatives
  • Co-ordinate and prepare the meeting papers, ensuring input received from relevant contributors in a timely fashion
  • Attend and minute all meetings
  • Maintain clear records including contract and bid status documents
  • Maintain the Corporate Governance Waiver record
  • Assist the Directors in the preparation of reports
  • General Administration duties and support to Commercial and Legal team, including:-
  • Photocopying and scanning papers
  • Typing, formatting and modifying documents, reports, correspondence and spreadsheets and filing emails and relevant commercial documents
  • Liaising with a variety of teams including project teams, IT, HR, Finance and Marketing to collaborate and coordinate operations
  • Maintenance of electronic and hard copy files, networking in the Bath office and beyond and signposting for helpful contacts
  • Supporting timely project management and resource planning by ensuring that documents under your control are completed and filed on time, setting reminders for follow-up where needed
  • Managing and coordinating business travel arrangements for the team working with the In-House Travel team and external Travel Management Company

The person:

  • Essential: Minimum of 1 year experience within legal administration position - ideally with experience working as a legal secretary within an inhouse legal team or solicitors practice or similar
  • An interest or experience in commercial, legal or business management fields an advantage but not essential as we will give you training in essential areas
  • Experience of organising and minuting board level meetings
  • Ability to deal with confidential and sensitive issues and to maintain an impartial position on confidential matters at all times.
  • Excellent computer and IT skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and experience of working with databases
  • Experience of setting up and maintaining administrative and filing procedures.
  • Excellent communication skills - written and verbal
  • A solid foundation of office experience and a proactive approach to your work
  • Ability to problem solve and think on your feet
  • Excellent organisational, administrative and time management skills
  • Detail orientated
  • Experience of supporting a team of people as well as working on a one to one basis
  • Positive and enthusiastic team player
