Role:

HGV Technician, Skelmersdale, Lancashire

Resolve Recruitment are working with a fast-growing distribution company based in Skelmersdale, that are looking for an HGV Technician to join their team on a permanent basis.

The Role:

Inspecting, maintaining, and repairing HGVs, as well as trailer fleet, to DVSA standards
Preparing vehicles and trailers for annual MOT's
Carrying out routine servicing, safety checks and finding any possible faults on all vehicles.
Completing ad-hoc repairs to trailers and vehicles as and when required
Ensure health, safety & all company procedures are adhered to at all times
Participation in out of hours on call which will be rota based

The person:

Experience of working in an HGV workshop environment
Experience of repair and maintenance of HGVs and trailers, such as 7.5t, 18t, 26t and articulated vehicles essential
Experience of maintaining & repairing various vehicle manufacturers e.g., Mercedes Benz, Volvo, DAF
HGV CE licence preferred but not essential
Experience of use of diagnostic equipment (texa) would be an advantage
A good knowledge of operating legislation concerning heavy goods vehicles

The Benefits:

Monday to Friday - 08.00 - 17.00
