ADR Driver Training Courses from Resolve Training Services in Bristol:

“We aim to provide the best possible learning experience to enhance personal development and maximise staff confidence & performance.”

The Regulations require all approved training providers in Great Britain and Northern Ireland to provide training to drivers that leads to the award of an ADR Driver Training Certificate approved by the Department. The Regulations currently in force are The Carriage of Dangerous Goods and Use of Transportable Pressure Equipment Regulations 2009 (as amended) and The Carriage of Dangerous Goods and Use of Transportable Pressure Equipment Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2010 (as amended). The Department, working with its appointed Agent, SQA, has applied a number of standards to applicants for approval under these Regulations, and has developed arrangements to ensure that these standards continue to be maintained by providers.

ADR regulation states that drivers of vehicles carrying dangerous goods shall hold a certificate issued by the competent authority (SQA) stating they have participated in a training course and passed an examination on the particular requirements that have to be met during the carriage of dangerous goods.

The main objective of the training course is to make drivers aware of the hazards arising in the carriage of dangerous goods and to give them the basic information indispensable for minimising the likelihood of an incident taking place and, if it does, to enable them to take measures which may prove necessary for their own safety and that of the public and the environment.
