Business Development Manager

Role:

Business Development Manager, Birmingham & West Midlands Region

Resolve Recruitment are working with the UK's most successful regional B2B media company. Due to continued expansion a position has opened up in their Birmingham office and they now seek a driven and talented Business Development Manager to take over the West Midlands territory to sell multi-media advertising solutions and event sponsorship opportunities direct to clients in/around the region.

The role;

  • Develop a defined Midlands territory with a mix of existing clients, new business prospects and leads
  • To craft and present creative proposals that meet the needs of the customer
  • Increase revenues from existing clients and secure support from new clients through strong consultative sales skills
  • Secure advertising, sponsorship and leaflet revenues for print products, sponsorship for a range of business events and advertising, content partnerships and sponsorship of a range of online products & services.
  • Develop a strong understanding of the vertical markets you represent and become an 'expert' for your clients to use as a sounding board
  • To take the initiative and be proactive in coming forward with innovative ideas which could benefit the team and wider company.

The person;

  • A proven track record in face to face sales - media experience is advantageous but not essential, just a strong solution based sales background required
  • Ideally minimum 3 years of experience working in a business to business sales capacity or certainly a minimum of 5 years in a sales role
  • A level of formal training around sales structures and buying habits - you will understand how to be successful in selling and the strong habits that go with this success.

  • Solid new business ability and experience
  • Account management expertise also required for repeat client revenue
  • A creative and consultative sales mentality
  • Good knowledge of the territory
